What’s on your nightstand?
I can’t keep books on the nightstand because I’m either going to bed early for work or crawling in at 2:00 AM after a show when my husband is asleep. But I just finished Bruce Springsteen’s memoir Born to Run, Laura Jane Grace’s Tranny: Confessions of Punk Rock’s Most Infamous Anarchist Sellout, and Franz Nicolay’s The Humorless Ladies of Border Control. Nancy Isenberg’s White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America is on deck. And there are a lot of She Writes Press books I still want to read, along with tons of other things published the past year or two. Never enough time to read!
Favorite place to get work done?
My living room/sun room, with a bay window overlooking the woods and sunny spots for me and the dog.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a writer until I was nine and was told that was not a possibility. After that, nothing really. Vague notions of Best Supporting Actress and Mrs. Bruce Springsteen but basically I stumbled around.
Can’t really name just one. Moonstruck, Casablanca, To Have and Have Not, The Fabulous Stains, Repo Man.
Your favorite book?
Rivethead by Ben Hamper.
