Happy Friday! We are SO excited for the Oscars this weekend! Of course, we’ve stocked up on the champagne and the printable nominee voting cards are ready! If you’re counting down the minutes until the big show like we are, check out this week’s award-winning media hits and our favorite red carpet GIFs!

BIG NEWS for client Kendare Blake! Three Dark Crowns has been optioned for film by FOX with “Arrival” (the Oscar-nominated film starring Amy Adams) and “Stranger Things” producer, Shawn Levy!

While the Academy voters cast their ballots for best picture and actors, you can cast your vote for the first Book Club Pick for our new BookSparks online Book Club!

Two of our amazing She Writes University instructors had recent red carpet moments of their own: HBO released the trailer for The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks – adapted for TV from the book by New York Times bestselling author Rebecca Skloot (who wowed our authors as keynote and workshop leader for our first-ever author retreat in 2016 and who will be kicking off our She Writes University webinar series with a great course on structure next week). The HBO show is produced by (and stars) Oprah Winfrey and airs this year! Natalie Baszile’s book, Queen Sugar, was turned into an OWN television show and was produced by Oprah as well! Join these literary queens – Rebecca and Natalie –  and more amazing women (Dani Shapiro and more!) in our She Write University classes kicking off next week! Seven weeks of amazing online content and classes to improve your writing and get you up to date on getting an agent and getting published if you are a newbie. Register TODAY at SheWritesUniversity.com.

BookBub picked the best books for fans of HBO’s newest show, “Big Little Lies” starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and more (and based on the book of the same name that we loved!)….and this awesome roundup of similar binge-worthy books featured several BookSparks clients: Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, The Marriage Lie by Kimberly Belle and All is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker. You go girls!

B&N Buzz did an exclusive feature of The End of OZ (the conclusion to the popular Dorothy Must Die series) by TV writer and newest BookSparks client, Danielle Paige!

What an incredible red carpet week for BookSparks authors! Tell us about your amazing week or your plans for watching the Oscars on Sunday!
