It’s a New Year and we’re so excited for our 2017 campaigns! First off, we’d like to welcome back Emmy award-winning TV writer and author Elise Allen. We just love working with authors who have been with us since the early days and who return. We’ll be working with Elise on her Gabby Duran series and we just can’t wait to dive into these sweet reads in 2017.

Please help us welcome back Erin McCahan as we work on her new YA novel coming this summer. The Lake Effect will take us to the white sands of Lake Michigan where we are sure to fall for an undoubtedly crush-worthy new character.

Anne Leigh Parrish is back with two books for 2017. Including this collection of short stories, By The Wayside, releasing in February.

With perhaps one of the most important books you’ll read this year, we are proud to welcome back Amy Hatvany and her new novel, It Happens All The Time. Dealing with the exceedingly important issue of consent, Hatvany’s novel is sure to not only connect with readers, but become a vehicle for which we can better understand a troubling and important subject.

Welcome back to Cindy Callaghan who has a new middle grade novel out. In Sydney Mackenzie Knocks ‘Em Dead, a Hollywood girl gets moved to Delaware and there’s more mystery than just how she’s ever going to get an acting job living next door to a cemetery.

If you’re dreaming of warmer weather and a darling inn by the water, Christine Nolfi and her series Sweet Lake should do the trick! We’re delighted to welcome Christine to the Spark family and we know her winter read will melt the ice around our hearts and prepare us for spring.

Holy, tattooed cover-hunk Batman! We are so thrilled to welcome New York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter and her beyond steamy book The Darkest Promise. I’m not sure how we’ll wait until summer to read the new release in her Lords of the Underworlds series, but I suppose we’ll just drool over the cover in the meantime.

If you’ve ever dreamt of what might have been, Graeme Simsion’s new release is going to be the book that kicks off your summer reading. The author of The Rosie Project has a new novel called The Best of Adam Sharp that follows the trajectory of a content, middle-age man confronted with a woman from his past who could have changed everything for him. We are excited to welcome this Aussie author and his heart-warming new novel.

Historical fiction fans, gather round! Welcome to the Spark World, author Jane Healey. Her novel, The Saturday Evening Girls Club, is so packed-full with history, heartache, and the healing power of female friendship, we’re submitting our membership to the club now. We like to think of BookSparks as its very own Girls Club, filled with rich intelligent women converging in one place to make their dreams come true. We can’t think of a better match for our April reading schedule.

In addition to having maybe one of the cooler literary male names we’ve ever seen, Calder Lorenz is offering an interesting book in 2017. One Way Down (Or Another) tackles addiction and is sure to be a deep read for anyone interested in this serious subject.  We would like to offer a warm Spark welcome to Calder and his new novel!
